I actually bought this flashlight. I received a 2nd generation SC28 that has a physical micro switch that has to be flipped with a toothpick to switch between Normal and Tactical group modes. Earlier versions had a three group mode UI that was accessible by the tail switch. The SC28 that I bought comes with a genuine Cree XHP50B emitter with a 5700K-6000K tint. I had checked with Sofirn marketing and they assured me that they do use Cree branded LEDs, as they do buy genuine Luminus and Samsung made emitters.

Can you possibly plug in a yamaha keyboard into it?

Can it accommodate 4 x 14500 protected cells?

I wonder if they fixed the electromagnetic susceptibility of the rotatory switch on the IF24? To test, wave a magnet over the rotatory switch of the 24. I have two and they both turn on in various modes even in the locked position.

Great video, I bought this because of your review a year ago. One issue I have however is turning on in my backpack and then the battery gets drained and cant use it. Is there a way to lock the button from turning on?

Idk how long you have had the light but how is it for like everyday carry with the holster it comes with? I’m a junior volunteer at my local dept and have been looking at well made flashlights that will hold up on calls an or just for everyday use at either my station or out in the field when need be also at home for a somewhat security device since I’ve heard the beam an shield works rlly good together with the strobe for self defense

It, be nice if Alpharex would put the Osram Olson flat black chips like they have in their Nova series but in the Luxx series but keep it at the same price points while increasing the output and clarity (plus light throw) of the Luxx series headlights giving more bang for the buck while the outside projector stays a dedicated low beam and the inner projector becomes almost a bi-led style with low and high beam chips rather than the led chips Alpharex produced in house, which is cool, but I find lacking some what. And, I had the Luxx series for five years in my old ram with output that put the majority of OEM led headlights to shame.

May be a bit heavy but , the trade off is it is a really nice heavy duty lamp with great flood and all the light you'll ever need for this kind of gear that it's designed to be. Lots of candela.
